On 9th June 2014 we organised a Charity Fun Dog Scurry at Nuthampstead Shooting Ground, while the shooting ground organised a Charity 50 bird clay shoot competition, all by the kind invitation of Martin & Nicky Barker.
The weather was warm and sunny and we were thankful we had a water retrieve to cool down the dogs.
Throughout the day 68 people competed in the scurry consisting of 5 events;
Two seen distance retrieves.
1st Rod Herd & Pip (Labrador)
2nd Sally Eley & Amber (Golden Retriever)
3rd Sally Eley & Teasel (Cocker Spaniel)
Two water retrieves, the left being thrown first then the right, with the left one to be retrieved first.

2nd Paul Moore & Trinny (Labrador)
3rd Trisha Ridge & Purdy (Golden Retriever)

There were dog food prizes and rosettes with some of the competitors travelling from as far away as the Norfolk coast.
The raffle was extremely well supported, and many thanks for all the donated prizes.
Thanks to all the parents and friends of the Ladybird Group (who put together a great video of the day) and friends of Truequest Training who volunteered to get arm ache throwing dummies, judge, time and book in the competitors, without you the day just wouldn’t have run.
Thank you to all of the competitors for competing and making the day fun filled.
And a big thank you to:
